The Appleseed Houe is slated to be an affordable, LEED and MN GreenStar certified Passive House to be build in North Minneapolis in collaboration with the Hawthorne Neighborhood and Minnesota Green Communities.

Apple Seed project is a catalyst:

•       Tool to teach other neighborhood contractors green building skills

•       Entry point for community involvement for green living

•       Break ground for greater vision to helping rebuild North Minneapolis

•       Possible leverage for the ecoVillage, a living green living community

•       Education for North Minneapolis community (High School, Contractors, etc.)

•       North Minneapolis community participation/collaboration for residents

•       Collaboration of Builder’s Association, Sponsors, LEED, MN Green Star, Green Communities

•       Build bridges across lines that divide the community (social, race, economic)
